SVP Worldwide Limited Warranty/ Garantie Limitée (Owner’s Copy - Retain this copy for your files) General This warranty is made only to the first purchaser (the “Original Purchaser”) who acquires this product for his or her own personal/domestic use from an authorized HUSQVARNA VIKING® Dealer in the United States and Canada, unless otherwise prohibited by law (which may include the Province of Quebec), because we cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized dealers. We reserve the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized dealers, including unauthorized internet sites. This warranty is non-transferable to any subsequent owners. Service under the below warranties may be obtained by returning the product with this warranty document and proof of purchase to the authorized HUSQVARNA VIKING® Dealer from whom the machine was purchased. If, at the time of the purchase, the Original Purchaser resided within 50 miles/80 km of that dealer’s location, and the Original Purchaser subsequently moved to a residence more than 50 miles/80 km distant from that location, then the warranty service will be provided by the authorized HUSQVARNA VIKING® Dealer nearest to the Original Purchaser’s current residence. An authorized HUSQVARNA VIKING® Dealer may be located by visiting our web site at www.husqvarnaviking.com. All charges incurred in delivery of items for performance of warranty service and in returning items after warranty service has been completed must be paid by the Original Purchaser. Parts and Conditions Not Covered by Warranty This warranty is for household (non-commercial) use and does not cover conditions unrelated to the material or workmanship of the product. Such unrelated conditions include, but are not limited to: (a) damage caused by current or voltage other than that stamped on the nameplate of the product, if applicable; (b) damage resulting from the failure to provide normal maintenance; (c) failure to follow instruction for use of the product as stated in the owner’s manual; (d) any accident to, or misuse of, any part of the product; (e) any defects or damage caused by service or alteration by anyone other than HUSQVARNA VIKING® or an authorized HUSQVARNA VIKING® Dealer/Service Center; (f) sewing materials that may be corrosive to metal or finish; (g) normal wear and tear; and (h) negligence. Limited 20-Year Warranty - Product Frame The product frame is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of purchase (or if purchased in California, then from the date of delivery). If any manufacturing defect appears in the product frame within twenty (20) years of purchase (or if purchased in California, then from the date of delivery), we will provide free replacement parts, but at your cost for labor. Limited 5-Year Warranty - Electronic/Electrical Parts The electronic/electrical components are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for five (5) years from date of purchase (or if purchased in California, then from the date of delivery) to the extent that if any defect is reported within this five-year period, SVP Worldwide will provide free replacement parts. SVP Worldwide shall not be responsible for shipping and will only cover labor for the first year. Limited 1-Year Warranty - Mechanical Parts and Adjustments The parts of the product are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase (or if purchased in California, then from the date of delivery). If any manufacturing defect appears in these parts within (1) year of purchase (or if purchased in California, then from the date of delivery), we will repair or replace any part which proves to be defective from workmanship or material without charge to you for parts or labor. Limitations on Relief: In no event shall HUSQVARNA VIKING® be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of this warranty, breach of contract, or strict liability. Some States/provinces (which may include the Province of Quebec) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be null and void, but the remainder of the warranty shall remain in effect. All implied warranties or conditions, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Any oral or written description of the products is for the sole purpose of identifying the products and shall not be construed as an express warranty. Some States/provinces (which may include the Province of Quebec) do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State/province to State/province. The disclaimers, exclusions, and limitations of liability under this warranty will not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law (which may include the Province of Quebec).
